Stephanie Hale has been honored as the December 2024 Member of the Month for her exceptional work as the Office Administrator at Polk County Fire District No. 1. Stephanie started as the Office Administrator in April of 2021.

Many in our community see our men and women hopping on and off of fire engines and getting in and out of ambulances as they provide emergency services. Stephanie is the one working tirelessly behind the scenes making it all happen. From payroll and human relations, to accounts payable and receivable, to public records, Firemed, and an exhaustive list of other essential administrative work, Stephanie keeps us all going. She is also very involved with the Oregon Fire Service Office Administrators and has been recognized by Office Administrators from across Oregon for her work.

While Stephanie could be honored as member of the month pretty much any month, she continues to take on additional duties to take care of our people. This includes things like sending out monthly health and wellness newletters, helping members get emergency paperwork updated, ensuring food and water make it to extended emergency scenes, and stepping up to create a more organized structure for support services. The reason our firefighters and medics are able to focus so exclusively on their work is because of the confidence they have in and support they get from Stephanie.
